Classic Pilates Mat (Beginners)
Pilates is a system of exercise and movement that is designed to increase strength, flexibility, and balance. Pilates integrates breath and movement with proper body mechanics to increase greater physical and mental awareness of how the body moves and feels. Most Pilates exercises focus on the pelvis and trunk, using both stability and mobility to train the body.
This Beginner’s Mat based Pilates Class focuses on introducing the participant to the 34 exercises that include balance training, improving mobility, postural awareness and alignment of the spine. These movements increase your overall strength and improve your balance and co-ordination, leaving you feeling lengthen, strong, relaxed and ready for the rest of your day.
The course carefully choreographs the 34 Exercises to suit the needs of the beginner by ensuring modifications and adaptation of the movements to enhance their experience. Progressions are encouraged and offered throughout the course.
You may wish to bring a mat and some water. This class is suitable to all participants with no prior experience of Pilates.
