BARRE WORKOUT
What is A Barre Workout?
Barre Workout is a full body workout inspired by and incorporating the main elements of a ballet exercises on the barre.
It focuses on low-impact, high-intensity movements designed to strengthen your body in ways that few other workouts can. The focus of the class is to tone your body, creating long, lean, flexible muscles while learning the basics of ballet barre. Barre focuses on strengthening the core, legs, arms, and back, using proper alignment and technique.
In addition to building strength, this full-body workout also develops agility and flexibility.
Each barre class is designed to be a full-body, workout. Typically, they’re broken into different sections that focus on major muscle groups including the arms, legs, glutes, and core.
The muscles in each group are fatigued via small targeted movements, high numbers of repetitions, and light weight or resistance. Don’t underestimate the light weights, though—I guarantee barre class will leave your muscles burning. Sections of class are also paired with stretching to increase overall flexibility, so if being more flexible is a goal of yours barre class is a great choice.
What Can I expect?
In this class you will learn the basics feet and arm positions of the barre which are repetitive, and combine these into movements and combinations that are easy but effective. The class format normally includes a warm up, full ballet barre, centre work and cool down.
This class will help you tone and strengthen your muscles, improve your posture and coordination, improve your focus and concentration, increase your flexibility and confidence.
